Antique French marching Drum with sticks

This antique French marching Drum with its sticks I found at an antique market here in the south of France. It is such a nice drum with the makers details – Couesnon & Cie – Paris – embossed in the metal of the drum and with its original sticks of which the ends are cladded in zinc. Often the sticks are no longer around so to have the complete set is wonderful. This drum is so very decorative and can still be played to this day. It has a dia of 39.5 x h 28 cm, the sticks are 40.5 cm long and the weight is 1603 grms. What a unique item from the markets in France to place in a music room or studio or at home.
