Antique Stations of the Cross VI and XIV

These are 2 antique (dating to early 1900’s) wooden Stations of the Cross, number VI and number XIV. The glass of each Station is rounded, the prints are no longer there. Station number VI is called ‘Veronica’s action’ where Veronica wipes the face of Jesus. Station number XIV is called ‘Entombment’, where Jesus is laid in the tomb. The Stations of the Cross or the Way of the Cross, also known as the Way of Sorrows, the Via Crucis or the Via Dolorosa, are any series of fourteen images depicting Jesus Christ on the day of his crucifixion and accompanying prayers.
