Christofle Letter opener L 22cm

This letter opener is from the house of Christofle, a luxury French silverware and tableware company founded in Paris in 1830 by Charles Christofle. Christofle items remain wanted by collectors worldwide and retain their value. This letter opener is silver plated and vinted and shows Charles Christofle on one side and on the other side it shows the Napoleon wreath of olive twigs as well as the Napoleon Bee emblem plus the text ‘Fournisseur de l’Empereur’ – ‘Supplier of the Emperor’ (meaning Napoleon). The letter opener is 22cm long and weighs 144 grms. It shows some traces of use but an exquisite item never the less. Postage from France included.
