Vintage Backgammon Board w/wooden pieces

I love playing Backgammon and I love vintage boards! This board dates back to the 1950’s. Backgammon itself has been played for over 5000 years, especially in the regions of Persia and Mesopotamia. This board is made from wood with the corners created trough tongue & groove, such a nice way in the older days to work with wood. Inside, the board is cladded with green felt. The large stones with a dia of 4cm are wood as well. I believe that the dice may well be (old) ivory and sit inside a wooden cup. The set is complete which is rare. The board measures 43 x 28 x h9cm and weighs 2358 grms. Postage from France included.
