Vintage Hermès Carré 90x90cm

This gorgeous vintage Scarf from the French house of Hermès is made from the finest Silk. It is 90 x 90 cm in size and is called a Carré which means square in French. This particular design is called ‘Brides de Gala’ and was designed for Hermès by Hugo Grygkar in 1957. It has been released many times in a different variety of colours and remains one of the most popular Hermès designs. The story behind Brides de Gala is that in 1957, Robert Dumas was working with designer Hugo Grygkar. He placed two sumptuous bridles side by side on the ground and was immediately struck by the perfect composition they formed, and thus the design was born.
