Vintage Serviettes s/12 + Table cover monogrammed J A

This gorgeous set of 12 vintage French Serviettes / Napkins and a matching Table cover are made from white cotton in a check pattern and each is beautifully monogrammed with large – adorned with flowers – letters J A. The letters on the Table cover are rather huge 9 x 9 cm and they are on each end. Absolutely beautiful! Size as usual with French Serviettes is a generous 70 x 86 cm each, the matching Table cover measures 240 x 150cm. The total weight is 3205 grms. Postage from France included.

Vintage Linens were very important in the French households. If there was a damage it would be mended, nothing would be thrown out, rather it would be kept for the next generation. This set has had a repair, see the last image and I love it. It is so much character and I always wonder which mother or grand mother would have done the mending.
