French Loupe Napoleon

This lovely French Loupe depicts Napoleon in his famous stance with folded arms beautifully done in silver plated metal. On the bottom you will see the Eagle from Napoleons’ Coat of Arms and around the rim of the Loupe itself there are embossed Bees. Napoleon chose the Bee (l’Abeille in French) as the symbol of his armorial bearings. Associated with immortality and resurrection, it was for him a way to consolidate his dynasty and to break away with the Lis flower, symbol of the monarchy. The Loupe is silver plated and in perfect working order. It has a dia of 5.5cm and its length is 13.5cm. It weighs 105 grms. What a lovely gift from France. Postage included.
