Vintage French Theatre Binoculars

These gorgeous vintage Theatre Binoculars are made with Mother of pearl onto silver coloured metal. They sit in their original leather holder which has on the inside of the lid the makers details stamped in gold onto ivory coloured silk. On the Mother of pearl rim of the Binoculars is mentioned E. (Eugen) Krauss – Paris. Eugen Krauss was famous for making marine and theatre Binoculars, starting in 1850. They became so successful due to their superb quality, that they expanded to London, Berlin and St. Petersburg and Tokyo. Size binoculars w 10 x h 5 cm,
